A team of nine, which included Jean Palmer’s granddaughter Becca, headed up to Clapham Common on Saturday to volunteer at the Walk the Walk marathon moon walk which raises money for breast cancer. After a slow start, the crowds suddenly descended and we worked non stop at the tattoo and face painting tents. It was great to see all the walkers in their imaginative outfits and there was a truly fantastic atmosphere on a warm and dry evening. We all worked hard, came home shattered – but slept well. I think they will remember the SVWI!
If you see any of the team , ask to see their tattoos as they are having trouble removing them !!
