On Saturday May 20th 2023, some of our members represented SVWI by volunteering at the Moon Walk.
We didn’t participate in the marathon itself, but spent over 4 hours handing out water and encouragement to the hundreds of dedicated walkers. What an inspiring and fun evening! We were based in the arena at Clapham Common and although it was hard work, we lapped up the atmosphere to the full including watching a great show up on the stage hosted by Gabby Roslin. The organisation of this event to raise funds for breast cancer charities was perfection with a huge feeling of bonhomie.
